I n October, the Secretariat for Catechetical Formation and Education introduced its Expanding the Educational Landscape Grant Program as part of the Rooted in Faith-Forward in Hope Campaign in the Diocese of Cleveland. There were 189 grants, requesting $11,858,793.00. There was $1,770,801.00 available for distribution.
We are very pleased to announce that John Paul II Academy received a grant in the amount of $8,577.00 for Facilities and a second grant in the amount of $38,000.00 for Technology and Curriculum!
The Facilities grant will be used to update the electrical system in the building and to install two thermostats to better regulate the heat in both sections of the academy. The Technology and Curriculum grant is designated for upgrading the computer room.
We are grateful for the generosity of the donors throughout the diocese who contributed to the campaign, and especially to those in our parishes, Saints Peter and Paul and Saint Therese. God is good!
