John Paull II Academy
School Programs

Preschool:
John Paull II Academy offers a state-licensed program for three and four year olds. Staffed by a certified teacher, the focus is on preparing students for kindergarten through a multi-sensory, integrated curriculum.

General Curriculum:
John Paull II Academy has an academic program encompassing all curricular areas that not only stresses the basics in the core content areas but also provides enrichment opportunities in reading and mathematics.  Students in grades 4 through 8 have a Spanish program taught by a certified foreign language teacher and including the use of Rosetta Stone Program in the computer lab.

Religious Education:
The major focus of the religious education program is to provide an environment based on Gospel values where students can grow as members of the faith community. Prayer, Sacraments, School Liturgies, and many devotional practices are integrated into the school day throughout the academic year. Upper school students are required to earn five service hours each term.

Technology:
A state-of-the-art computer lab comprises the base of our technology education program.  Students are taught to use a multitutde of programs on the eMac computers in the first floor lab and on PC computers in the second floor research lab, that contains an ActivBoard.   Internet access, supported by a secure firewall is available throughout the Acacemy and students are able to access their work off the server from computers in both labs and in their classrooms.

Fine Arts:
The fine arts program includes formal lesson in both art and music.  In addition,  seasonal religious plays, a Spring Musical, Band Concerts, Choir presentations, Kids' Art Cart with the Jenning Hall residents, and an advanced art program for students who qualify round out the offerings in these areas.  Teachers in the fine arts areas are fully certified by the State of Ohio.
